Valerie Martinez Peralta found her way to poetry after working for twenty-plus years as a part-time copy editor and a full-time mom, with lots of volunteer gigs along the way. She earned an MFA in created writing from Fairfield University, is a regular contributor to "Wind & Root" at Reckon Review and the new poetry editor for O-Dark-Thirty.
