Can you imagine life without
a God who loves us so,
no hope of what awaits us when,
it’s time for us to go?
I know I cannot live this life
without the hope of these,
for if I gave a moment’s thought,
I’d be brought to my knees...
And there in contemplation,
I would come to God in prayer,
lay out my earthly doubts and fears
and He would meet me there,
admonish me for thinking such
and ever hold me tight,
dispel my doubts and evermore,
remove them from my sight.
How can I know these things without
a God who speaks to me?
I know because He’s told me so,
His Word helps me to see
that though this world tries hard to put
my God out of existence,
my faith and love will not succumb,
I’ll stand strong with persistence.
